Sensei Trevor Rustin

Sensei Trevor Rustin is a registered International 3^rd Dan Kyokushinkaikan Black Belt. He was graded by Shihan Kenny Uytenbogaardt

(7^th Dan).

Sensei Trevor is married to Jeni and lives in Colorado Park, Mitchells Plain with his two daughters – Sharne and Simone since 1989.

During October 2000, Sensei Trevor decided it was time to start his own business. Although he was employed as a Pension Funds Manager in the Insurance Industry, he knew it was right to start a business that would create employment for those that do not have formal qualifications.

So he started a Carpet Cleaning Business and created employment for two unemployed Kyokushin Karateka. The one was unemployed for almost two years prior to that.

At the same time he also opened a number of Dojos in the Mitchells Plain; Athlone and surrounding areas.

Sensei Trevor has very strong views on community service and as such offer free “Taebo” classes to the unemployed; housewives and retired persons every Wednesday at the Weltevreden Recreational Centre. On a quarterly basis he and other community members host a mass “Taebo” session where everybody in the greater Mitchells Plain is invited. This is free to the community and the instructors offer their services for free.
